Briar Patch.
Used in a sentence while attempting to paraphrase Sue Sylvester in the GLEE finale last night: "It's hard to hear any word you're saying because your hair looks like a briar patch - I expect racist animated characters to jump out and start singing about life down on the bayou."
In many ways, this show reminds me of the Breakfast Club (each one of us is a brain, an athlete, a basket case, a princess and a criminal), updated for the new millennium with one of every color, every ability, every social status, every orientation, every intelligence (with a devout Christian and a relationship for Curt promised for next year), etc. There's something to be said for championing all-inclusivity using song as an avenue by which we all can discover self-expression. And with a basic subtext that there really is good in all of us combined with the ability to work 70's classic Run Joey Run into a pivotal point of the season, I just have to say ...
... there are two types of people in this world -- those who watch and appreciate GLEE and those who don't have a heart.
