With memories of the 2003 closing of the ChiChis in PA when the unwashed green onions sent people to the hospital and the 2007 dirty tomato and dirty spinach scares still fresh, comes this new entry in the "you may die if you eat here" chronicles. A local Chicago Subway gave its customers shigella (but just the $5 version of it, I'm sure). If you want that "eat fresh" feeling, you're going to have to "wash" the ingredients.
