We were sitting around playing cards or Cranium or some other family bonding experience this past holiday, when this song popped into someone's head and was shared with the group. It took us awhile to name the artist (and I think we turned to the internet to eventually settle the dispute -- proving once and for all that wikipedia, imdb and youtube inspire family harmony) because we were leaning toward Crystal Gayle or Juice Newton.
