I don't mean to go off on a rave here, but ...
... that's *exactly* what I'm going to do.
This is going to count for my one Saturday out of the month like I normally do ... AND it's going to finish off what I've been doing for the whole month of November.
Over on the Facebook, I posted daily ... and on the past few Saturdays, I compiled my thoughts for the week so that they are recorded for the blog -- because my heart may be small, but it can hold a large amount of gratitude. To whit:
NOV 27 -- Today, I am THANKFUL for SUPERHEROES ... lookit -- my love for all things Bat is pretty well documented (the front room/enclosed porch is practically my bat cave), but I've been spending Saturdays afternoons for a while catching up on all the other movies, including being exposed to the Marvel world (both Avengers and Xpeople), and there's just something about that little bit of escapism at the end of the week that provides a perfect respite from the real world and even offers a little bit of hope that everything is possible when we unite and focus all of our talents on evil when it shows itself.
NOV 28 -- Today, I am THANKFUL for THE RAIN ... even if it feels like a bit of a double whammy to have it rain on a Monday morning. Karen Carpenter be darned, it's not going to get ME down ... 'cause it makes the flowers grow (and 'cause the sun will come out as soon as this band off the ocean flies through, or so says the radar).
NOV 29 -- Today, I am THANKFUL for THE FACEBOOK ... because even though it can be dangerous and can cause a few meltdowns and may not be suggested for everyone (especially nowadays), once you get past all of that (assuming you *can* get past all of that), it's a great way to stay connected with all the characters out there from all the different chapters of my life. So even though I may not like or comment on everything, just know that I'm watching ... and thinking of you and your own story arcs.
NOV 30 -- Today, on the last day of the month and in the final post this kind of way until *next* November, I am THANKFUL for FAMILY ... and seeing as how my biological ones are scattered across the country (you'd have thought WE were the ones who built the tower of Babel and God punished with how far apart we all are), this post also has to cover my logical ones -- the people who have loved and supported and filled in for the others ... and that goes double for the family that lives with me (whether two, three or four legged)!
