Random Wordplay for Wednesday 7/13/16

Selfie elbow.

Used in a sentence:  "Because evolution has not yet caught up to our tech addictions, selfie elbow is now a thing."

Hoda Kotb has it ... so you might have seen it in the news this past week.  It comes on the heels of text claw and i-posture issues, which Hoda does not have, but others before her have suffered from such injuries.  (And, in a more serious note, these are actually newer versions of the classic repetitive stress injuries like carpal tunnel syndrome -- which was popular with my generation a few years back.)

For goodness sake, people, please be safe out there with your cell phones.  There's absolutely no sense getting an injury before the radiation waves give you brain cancer.  That's the way God intended for cell phones to kill you ... not from some silly selfie elbow.
