Random Memorial for Monday 3/7/16

Gone but not forgotten:  Samuel Willenberg.

Samuel passed two weeks ago, and when he passed, he took with him the last memories of those who survived  Treblinka, the Nazi death camp from WWII, because, he was indeed, the last known survivor of that horrific moment of history.

After all, it's only a matter of time -- time passing.  Each day, fewer and fewer of the "greatest generation" are walking amongst us ... and those with first hand knowledge of the last time evil was successfully destroyed through a global collaborative effort are leaving this world ... and possibly taking their stories with them.

The time for action is now.  Support organizations like the Honor Flight Network that provides veterans the chance to see their DC memorials before they pass.  Promote organizations like those that are capturing the oral histories of holocaust survivors like Samuel.  Because soon they will all be gone.

Samuel, and those few like you who remain ... you will be missed.
