Wednesday is Wink Day
Used in a sentence: "It's unclear if your local grocer will still comply, but, according to a Corn Flakes marketing campaign from over a hundred years ago, Wednesday is Wink Day ... and all you have to do is wink at your grocer and see what you get."
To be clear, what you are supposed to get is a free sample of Corn Flakes ... although, nowadays, what with the looser morals as compared to the early nineteen hundreds, winking at your grocer might just lead to something more.
If it does, feel free to let him (or her) know that Wheaties were once marketed as an aphrodisiac.
[Darn you, "history" channel, and your odd specials, for filling my head with this information ...]
Wink on, playa, wink on ... and good luck!
