What's there not to love about *this* photo from twenty years ago taken as the fall LVC theatre retreat was ending?
The fact that my first car is there in the upper right hand corner (an '83 Ford Escort ... and this was taken in '94, for perspective)?
Or the gigantic video recorder (with which that retreat was captured ... on VCR tapes [that are still somewhere in my archive])?
Or the classic Pearl Jam shirt? Or the tricky way we worked our placement so that I could look a slight bit taller and rest my elbow on Rich G (Gully's) shoulder (who is over 6 ft tall)?
OR just the fact that this is the aforementioned Gully and I (who, during these years in college, was basically my little brother [even in the Greek way, since he pledged the theatre fraternity during his time at LVC]). This was not the last time we saw each other (although, at the time, it felt that way, as he was moving on to other things) ... but you'll have to wait until next year in 2015 to relive that experience from 1995 -- which, come to think of it, is only a few Fridays away!
