Celebrating Tornado Tuesdays!
Well, "celebrating" might not be the right word ... but, as you can see in the center of this picture taken on the street where I live, just above the elevated tracks, *there* stands the tornado whistle thingy. Between that going off each Tuesday (and the howling of the apartment dogs that join in the cacophony) and the regular interruption of that which I'm taping on the DVR because they run weekly tests of the emergency broadcasting system in this town, I will remember the hype fondly (mostly because the worst I had to experience was a derecho or two [see Thing 45 in this series]).
COUNTER: Ain't no party like a hurricane party, riiight? The only question to be answered is how southern Florida goes about notifying its residents ...
