Random Flashback for Friday 11/2/12

This is the bedroom on Berkeley street in Uniontown ...

... which was the apartment that was set up for me when I spent 18 months there 20 years ago, furnished courtesy of my surrogate grandmother JoAnne.

If you look closely, you'll see the very beginnings of my cassette collection (I had less than 100 two decades ago, but I ended up with 6x that amount thanks to Columbia House [8 for a penny many times over, if you know what I mean]).  And that's an actual corded phone there by the fan.  Also a solitary penguin (my collection has exploded since then.)  Plus my "college corner" of theatrical productions (some even in nice frames -- which means that I directed or assistant directed those and got them at the cast party as a gift).  All topped off by my "art de cologne" poster I had brought back from my time abroad in Koln two years before this photo was taken.  [Sadly, the White House towel was just a copy -- I've not been inside ...]

Ahhhh ... simpler times!  Good times!  More stories to come from those times ...
