So that abandoned motel along the side of 15 near Gettysburg in last week's picture? It was, as it may have appeared, a rendezvous point.
But not for any illicit activity -- instead it was the place where a few LVC students met up with a few Allegheny students to go re-une (I can get away with that as a verb, right?) with a few Gettysburg students.
Twenty years ago around this time, a majority of those of us who studied together during a 1990 semester abroad in Koln, Germany (in a program jointly sponsored by those three schools) were going to be in the same spot since that final goodbye dinner when a drunk Pat and Tony did the traditional German dancing in real Lederhosen (and do I remember right that Klaus Fischer or Father Christmas or Klaus Fischer as Father Christmas get involved too?).
And, in my pics (which I'll keep putting up over the month of April), I'm wearing two different outfits, so I think it was a weekend affair. Kicking us off is this parking lot shot of me with Beth and Monika! Viel Spass!!
