Random Scandal Sheet for Sunday 6/12/11

What Chicago is talking about this week:

We now have one more thing to add to the supply of fire prevention suggestions (like "stop, drop and roll" and "don't play with matches" and "no smoking while you're napping on the couch") -- keep a flashlight in the house. And it's not for when your power goes out ... but it's in case you need to search for an item under your bed. A neighborhood fire started when someone allegedly did that with a lighter in the early hours of the morning, igniting his mattress in the process, starting a multi-alarm fire. [Btw, I checked the rules of snark, and since no one died in the incident, I have free reign to mock this "under-bed explorer".]
