Random Wordplay for Wednesday 3/17/10

Maewyn Succat.

Used in a sentence: "Yes, Seamus, there really is a St. Patrick ... but his actual name was Maewyn Succat."

And he wasn't Irish, he was a British boy stolen by brigands and taken to Ireland as a slave. And he didn't chase any snakes into the sea, because serpents are... non-native to the Isle (and the snakes were just a metaphor for the non-Christian religions). And wearing green is considered unlucky in Ireland (because the fairies take children who are wearing too much of that color -- is this the origin of the homosexual agenda that Pat Robertson speaks of?) And, most importantly, it IS true that Guinness has restorative powers (and will delay my first heart attack)! Éire go Brách indeed!
